What Is the Difference Between the Biblical and the Qur’anic Attitude Towards the Female?
Question by MUHAMMAD: What is the difference between the Biblical and the Qur’anic attitude towards the female?
Bible states that the period of the mother’s ritual impurity is twice as long if a girl is born than if a boy is:
“Tell the Israelites: When a woman has conceived and gives birth to a boy, she shall be unclean for seven days, with the same uncleanness as at her menstrual period. On the eighth day, the flesh of the boy’s foreskin shall be circumcised, and then she shall spend thirty-three days more in becoming purified of her blood; she shall not touch anything sacred nor enter the sanctuary till the days of her purification are fulfilled. If she gives birth to a girl, for fourteen days she shall be as unclean as at her menstruation, after which she shall spend sixty-six days in becoming purified of her blood”. (Lev. 12:2-5).
Bible Verses/stories for Women Trying to Conceive?
Question by moxamortemlove: Bible verses/stories for women trying to conceive?
I know that bible verses cannot get me pregnant. I’m not looking for a “miracle verse.” I’m looking for stories from the bible about women who couldn’t conceive, also comforting verses full of hope and faith when it comes to conceive. My mother always taught me to turn to the bible in times of need, discomfort, and even joyful times. And since my husband and I have been trying for over a year now with no luck, its getting harder not to get discouraged.
Thanks to all who answer. God bless you 🙂

Question by Epona Willow: How do you deal with grief?
We were trying to adopt our two grandsons that live in the U.K. (we live in the U.S.) we were denied and they are being adopted out to strangers separately. We feel lost and do not know how to deal with our grief.

Love is the only way to deal with grief. But why grieve? Your grandsons will find happy homes in their own environment.

Can We All Get a Little Perspective Here and Stop the Hyperbole?
Question by De Patre Vostro: Can we all get a little perspective here and stop the hyperbole?
Completely overshadowed the school knife attack in China where some dude stabbed and slashed 22 kids with a knife.
How many children have been blown up in drone attacks so far this month?
What about the car bombings in Syria by the anti-Assad forces, the supposed “good guys” which killed 16 and wounded 25 including many women and children?
And just to keep it all in perspective, in the USA last year 40 children were killed by their television sets falling on them.
Why no massive outpouring of grief for these kids? Are they worth less?
