How Long Did It Take You to Heal From Your Miscarriage?

Question by Micahs•Mummy: How long did it take you to heal from your miscarriage?
My husband and I have been trying to conceive for almost 18 months now. We had a miscarriage about 6 weeks ago when I was 5 weeks along. Physically I’m doing fine but emotionally I’m still struggling.
How long did it take for you to be ok emotionally after your miscarriage?
Thanks.
We started trying again straight away. Just got my second period since the miscarriage.

I’m terribly sorry to hear of your recent miscarriage. It doesn’t take long to physically recover from a miscarriage unless there were other complications involved as well. The worst part is the heartbreak and emotional recovery the “mother-to-be” has to endure and somehow overcome. Doctors highly recommend women who do have miscarriages to go ahead and try to become pregnant again as soon as possible as it does help her to put the miscarriage behind her and look forward to her forthcoming pregnancy.

Look for local support groups. Try the county and hospice services for family care. Also, try a search on Google for “grieving support” and her zip code.

I am sorry for your lose.
