Trying to Recover From Anerexia!!?

Question by kim h: trying to recover from anerexia!!?
ok so i am trying to recover from THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFEEE (not eating enough). for the past 2 weeks i have been taking in around 4000 calories. I i have gained like a little weight. is that enough calories though?

Best answer:

Answer by eat my poo
hey babe, 4000 calories is not enough for 2 weeks. you need 1700 to 2000 calories per day. my solution would be to eat till you are full but focus on exercising rather than changing the amount you eat if you are worried about your weight.

Do We Need More Mental Institutions?

by wallyg

Question by Texas kitty: Do we need more mental institutions?
I heard an interesting comment regarding people involved in the mass murders. Mental institutions do not have the people who should be in them because we did away with institutionalizing them. They were horrid places but maybe we need to rethink them. More people would possibly be alive today.

Although I can’t help but agree, you can’t lock people up for being weird or mentally ill.

What Do I Do in Life in Terms of a Career? Already in My Early 30’s!?

Question by mayerj72: What do I do in life in terms of a career? Already in my early 30’s!?
All these years I went to college, but never got a career going for myself. I am not from the States, so I first went to college in States studying psychology. When I went back to my home country, that coursework did not get accepted, so I started to study medicine. But that didn’t lead anywhere and I had so much problems adjusting to the life in my country. So I went back to the States and did a bachelors in business, with virtually no prerequisites. That I finished, but I can’t find any jobs in the field and have been going into debt. I am really frustrated. I spent so many years in school getting taking worthless classes that did not get accepted in either country. Now I was thinking of studying physical therapy to escape my misery since I originally already studied medicine for a while. But they wouldn’t accept my courses, so I would have to start all over again.

I’m Afraid That I May Have a Mental Illness?

Question by Morgan: I’m afraid that I may have a mental Illness?
First off, I know that I should speak with a doctor and my family about this, but I’m afraid to.

Okay, well I’m a 16 year old girl, and I’ve been feeling like I may be depressed for a very long time now. I know everyone has problems and sometimes get depressed so I’ve regarded this “depression” as normal; but lately I’ve been really afraid that it may be a more serious problem.
I have a good family life, I know that my family loves and cares a lot about me, the only thing is that I can’t talk to them about ANYTHING,I can’t remember the last time i had a real conversation with my parents, not because they haven’t tried but because I just don’t want to– I don’t feel comfortable talking to them.
