I Need to Know How to Comfort My Hubby…?
Question by kitten: I need to know how to comfort my hubby…?
My Egyptian bf’s brother died recently. My bf is currently widthrawn and uncommunicative but I believe he needs me… Only I need to know what I can do to comfort him. I wish he would just tell me but I don’t think he knows himself or that he knows what to say. I am scared to offend him or seem insensitive. I tried to reach out to him; to find out what I can about his situation and what’s happening in his life since he ignored me for 3 weeks. So far, he’s not saying anything more about his life and He’s accused me of being selfish when I asked him what he feels about me. I am feeling hopeless not knowing what to do…. I really love this guy and hope he would open up and trust himself entirely to me.
A Question About the 5 Stages of Grief..?
Question by HAT: A question about the 5 stages of grief..?
My sister died just over 2 years ago and I’m having a question about “proper grieving” if there is such a thing
Just last year I was diagnosed with depression (stage 4 of grief) but for some reason I feel like I skipped anger and bargaining (instead I turned to atheism and stayed in denial) and I’m not sure if I’m “done” with depression, but I feel like I’ve progressed (or regressed) to the Anger Stage in the sense that I’m angry with my dead sister for many things and sometimes my parents (though I never let it out on them).
Is this normal?

People that have been emotionally abandoned (such as by their parents when they were small)…tend to have trust issues as adults.WHAT IS ABANDONMENT?
Many people ask me, “What is abandonment? Is it people in search of their mothers? People left on the doorstep as children?”
I answer, Everyday there are people who feel as if life itself has left them on a doorstep or thrown them away. Abandonment is about loss of love itself, that crucial loss of connectedness. It often involves breakup, betrayal, aloneness. People struggling with abandonment issues include those going through the ending of a relationship as well as searching adoptees, recently widowed, and those suffering the woundedness of earlier disconnections.
