Question by Fredrik: How to deal with my dead cat 3rd and last repost?
I am so sorry for posting 3 times but i am getting depressed he was only 6 months old he got run over by a truck that was working outside here because of a flooding destoryed the property he was orange and small beautiful cat he was so special he never caught any mice/bird anything he loved cats dogs humans and he slept on my head when i was sleeping i dont know what to do this happend 2 days ago it just feels terrible that he had so many years ahed of him and that i will never see him in the window meowing for me to let him in Thank you and i dont live in a populated area village with 800 population thats why i let him out but i think he was sleeping under a truck when the guy in the truck drove of i just hope he didnt feel any pain thank you for reading this again sorry for reposting this will be last time i post this

Question by deeprest85: What should I do about my “depression”?
My parents think I have depression but I don’t believe in conventional therapy. I used to think about suicide when I was young and told my parents a couple of times, but whenever I said anything I got the same generic advice that I should go to therapy or what-not. It’s BS— I’m not crazy, I just think my life sucks. I don’t need some shrink analyzing my feelings or asking me questions. Frankly, when people tell me I have so much to live for, that just pisses me off more because I know I don’t. I’m getting tired of everyone giving me reasons not to kill myself. Anyway, I started smoking pot and I’ve noticed that I don’t feel like killing myself anymore. But now everyone that knows I toke gives me the ol’ “Drugs are bad, MMKAY” speech. I’ve tried to explain that pot helps my depression but nobody understands. I haven’t smoked Mary J in a few days but now I feel the depression coming on again. My question is: is it ok to smoke pot if it prevents me from ending my own life?
I have been to therapy before once or twice but it did nothing for me except piss me off more and waste my parent’s money.

cant think of the passages right off the top of my head but its about the daughters of Lot, and its pretty graphic too.

I talked to my priest and he privately admitted he has grave reservations about a lot of passages in the bible that promote pornography.
This is one the passages he dissaproved of, Ezekiel 23:

that land their breasts were fondled and their virgin bosoms caressed. 4 The older was named Oholah, and her sister was Oholibah. They were mine and gave birth to sons and daughters. Oholah is Samaria, and Oholibah is Jerusalem.

I think i may have depression but my dad doesnt really get why i would be depressed and is making me more sad whenever he says something about it. HOw do i get him to be more supporttive?

You should get him to take you to the doctor. And while you’re there, tell them how you’re feeling. Most likely they will perscribe something to you, and talk to your dad about it so he knows you really do need help.

Question by psych_central: Mental Health Consumers?
There was quite a fury on a blog site of mental health Advocates claiming that the term “consumer” is degrading, “Mental Health” is stigmatizing, “patient” is discriminating and so on. That these terms should be banned. They also feel that dx’s are “labels”by which they should not be refereed to as having. I’m into advocacy and peer counseling but am I the only one to think this is “crazy”? I was a patient, a consumer, I had a mental health problem and I didn’t have any problems with it. I ‘d love to hear your opinions.
