Why Do You Think Tiny Tims Death Effected Scrooge So Deeply?

Question by Elyssa M.: why do you think tiny tims death effected scrooge so deeply?
from charles dickens A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Answer by I P
wow, that is a great question.

i never thought about the intentions.

rather, i just assumed that tiny tim was a representation of the general populas, humanity, or the common person, and the reaction scrooge has was a natural reaction which was easily accepted even though it went against his character because of the social obligation that mankind or society has for the common good of everyone which is what i felt the book was evoking,, the plot of the book kinda bypassed the character of the book because of the plot was bigger than the characters of the book …

but i really like your question,, i have not thought of that question, and i love the book, storyline, plot and characters in it.

sorry if i could not provide insight into the situation…
