Psychosexual Disorders: Can People That Were Previously ‘sheltered’ Be at Great Risk?

Question by buffalo_billz_2003: Psychosexual disorders: Can people that were previously ‘sheltered’ be at great risk?
All throughout growing up, you’d always hear people say that the girls or boys having sex way too young(e.g., 12 or 13) would end up deeply regretting it or would probably “need counselling” someday. Ditto for the people that ended up becomming parents at very young ages. Or that the girls who start dating and/or having sex at a young age are prone to become “sl.uts” and act like “wh.ores”.

My Husband Has Screwed Up Our Marriage With His Lying! Was It a Mistake for Me to Go to Marriage Counseling?

Question by Love: My husband has screwed up our marriage with his lying! Was it a mistake for me to go to marriage counseling?
I don’t know what to do. We have only been together for a year and a half and we have so many problems. I love my husband but slowly i am losing my love for him.

I have found out either by confession or admitting, about all of these things since we’ve been together and i am drained of energy because he is always causing stress in our marriage and im sick of it.
I’m 21 and he is 30.

*I found out that he had a drug problem. He hid it for a year and i had no idea. He was buying drugs from an 18 year old girl and doing about 20 vicodin pills a day. I told him if he didn’t stop i would leave him, so he stopped, no questions asked.

Drug & Alcohol Interventionist.?

Question by WTFcouRtt x3.: Drug & Alcohol Interventionist.?
This is what I want to be when I get older.
Drug & Alcohol addiction has always interested me & I want to pursue a career in it.
While watching “Intervention” on A&E, I thought about becoming a Drug and Alcohol Interventionist.
Is this a good job choice?
Are there colleges that offer training in this in New York?
Are there job openings?
How many years of college do I have to go to?
Also, What other jobs are there involving Drug & Alcohol Control/Help?

Thank you. (:

This won’t be an easy job. It’s not for the faint of heart, and is a very selfless position. I am sure there are colleges in NY. I suggest you start with one of your local ones and speak to an advisor to get you on the right track. Good luck 🙂

Teens: How Would You Talk to Your Parents About This?

Question by Bee.: Teens: How would you talk to your parents about this?
Okay, so I’ve had problems with anxiety since I was eleven years old. I hate talking about it–it’s humiliating and demeaning and makes me really uncomfortable, especially since I’m 16 and a junior and nothing about irrationally losing your mind is attractive. It’s not easily explained and when I get anxiety attacks or panic attacks, it’s really terrible and terrifying and intense. It sucks, it really, really sucks. It is clinically diagnosed and I do talk to a “Personal Counselor” once a week and then “as needed.”
