Question by : What is a good way to get over severe depression?
I have been diagnosed with severe depression for the last six months following years of trying to hide it away.
I left an abusive marriage and am finally facing up to the rape which I was a victim of some years before.
I keep having suicidal thoughts and have made attempts on my life regularly over the last couple of months.
My doctor has upped my medication and tells me this will help. All it seems to do is numb things and make me feel worse.
Anyone know of a way to get thought this without yet more drugs?????

Think about positive things, and get active. Try to workout as much as you can and eat healthily.

Question by Love: Was marriage counseling a mistake??? Or should i have just left him for good? He wanted marriage counseling…?
I don’t know what to do. We have only been together for a year and a half and we have so many problems. I love my husband but slowly i am losing my love for him.

I have found out either by confession or admitting, about all of these things since we’ve been together and i am drained of energy because he is always causing stress in our marriage and im sick of it.
I’m 21 and he is 30.

*I found out that he had a drug problem. He hid it for a year and i had no idea. He was buying drugs from an 18 year old girl and doing about 20 vicodin pills a day. I told him if he didn’t stop i would leave him, so he stopped, no questions asked.

I’m currently watching a show on TLC called Half-Ton Mom and I was thinking to myself: How is it that these people allow themselves to get so big? This woman is nearly 900 pounds! You would think that by around 300lbs., one would realize that they need treatment for compulsive eating. I’m not trying to sound mean, but it angers me that people would do this to themselves.
