Question by wendy: Is there a hotline for transgendered teenagers?
I have a friend who is a FtM transgender. He came out to his parents the other day, and they are completely against this. He’s only 16, and now his parents are going to put him into “therapy” to “fix her”. He is now banned from cutting his hair short and binding his breasts. Is this child abuse? Is there a hotline he can call that can stop his parents from forcing him to be something he’s not?
He’s no suicidal or anything. I want to help him take legal actions as I feel this counts as child abuse.

probably psychology, or child psychology. some schools offer a degree in counseling. Sorry I don’t know what the job would pay, but I really doubt it would pay much since a teacher’s salary already sucks. (I’m going to be a teacher with a background in psychology or social services so I’ve looked into the degrees required for this kind of thing).
