Are you overseas? If so, yes, they can jerk you around in all kinds of ways.
If you are not overseas then nothing is mandatory. You are free, just like any other citizen, to get married with our without premarital counseling.
Having said that, it IS in your BEST interest to go through the counseling no matter where you are located.

Matthew chapters 5 to 7, the Sermon on the Mount which contains counsel for daily life; Revelation chapters 2 & 3 where he writes letters of counsel to the congregations; Matthew 18:1-4 the counsel he gave the apostles when they were arguing about who was greatest.

Who Would You Recommend as a Great Couples Councilor in San Diego?
Question by cute_squeakers: Who would you recommend as a great couples councilor in San Diego?
I’m looking for a councilor who’s specialty with couples counseling especially in regards to trust. My boyfriend and I are our last thread and he is really reluctant to going to counseling, but I want to get recommendations anyway for the San Diego area or more specifically La Mesa if there is one closer.
Please just don’t choose from the yellow pages. I would prefer recommendations that they truly know if the councilor is good or not from experience or some kind of knowledge.
