Complex Feelings About sexuality–I Like Boys?

Question by : Complex feelings about sexuality–I like boys?
Okay, this is going to make me seem like a bad person (that would be my reaction anyway) but here goes…

I have some pretty messed up feelings about my sexuality and I need guidance on working them out.

I find myself checking out underage boys (13-17) all the time.
I would never act on my attraction, though. In fact, I would probably beat the shit out of someone if I found out they had touched a child…
This is not an exclusive attraction by the way, I also like women but not as much.

It would seem to me that my values do not match up with my feelings…i’ve felt this way for like 6 years. (i’m 19)

Are There Any “Hatred Conversion Therapy” Camps Available for Homophobic Christians?

Question by Felonious Monkey: Are there any “hatred conversion therapy” camps available for homophobic Christians?
Is there a camp where Christians can go to pray their homophobia away? The Bible says that you shouldn’t judge your fellow man. It also says that love is the most important of God’s commandments. Therefore, Christians who judge homosexuals or who think homosexuality is disgusting and immoral are risking an eternity in hell.

If no such camp exists perhaps I should start one. I’ll call it “hatred conversion therapy” and I’ll market it to humanists and Unitarian Universalists.

This would mean God didn’t know the Law until the Book showed up in the Canaanite Borders. How did you get to be so smart and incisive ? [ so I can avoid it 😉 ]

Top 10 books about missing persons

In fact, the most satisfying ones are those in which a bereft loved one becomes determined to track down the missing person, at any cost. My favourites include all these varieties and more – even a children's story of a literal disappearance that sets …

What Are Some Books Based on a Story After 9/11?

Question by Lisa: What are some books based on a story after 9/11?
Like if a family/spouse or anyone related to someone had to deal with the death of someone from September 11. Just that type of story. I don’t want to get too specific. I’m pretty much in it for a good read 🙂 If you can suggest any other books among the topic of 9/11, feel free to jot it down.

Has the Field of Psychiatry Been Infilitrated by Drug Companies?

Question by Ð4MÃN!™ (End the Fed!): Has the field of Psychiatry been infilitrated by drug companies?
Psychiatry, in a pure sense, should not involve drugging people. Psychiatrists should seek to cure their patient’s mental disorders or issues through natural means, and this is VERY possible. There is no need to drug over 30 million Americans every day. Its ridiculous.

I believe the answers is yes, so the real question may be: To what extent?

Psychiatrists are sponsored by drug companies, and are so loose with their prescription pads. They don’t do much asides from prescribing drugs. Its unfortunate, really.

Richard Louv, a scientist who studies a term he coined himself, “natural-deficit disorders” studies how so many of the mental disorders which psychiatrists work can be dealt with through other means, such as exposure to nature. It is absolutely not necessary to drug millions of Americans.
I’m not sure what the percentage is, but a substantially large percentage of the American population takes drugs for depression-related purposes.

Is This a Panic Attack?

Question by Bubbles: Is this a panic attack?
well ever since i was little, i’ve had these moments(not as often as they used to be now) where i was in bed, ready to go to sleep, when something would trigger in my mind about dying. i start to worry about the blackness, but it wouldn’t even BE black because your dead and there would be no colour, just nothingness. i freak out about it, and if/when my parents die, and i start to cry-like uncontrollably. seriously. i cant stop. sometimes if that something triggers i can block it out by listening to music, reading, everything at the same time to keep myself busy, then it seems to subside.
i was talking to a friend about, and she said that she gets the same thing, and that it is a panic attack. i’ve never thought about it like that before.
so is it a panic attack? i cant control them, don’t know what brings them on, and is there anything to stop/reduce them?
they can be quite frequent, or very far apart and out of the blue.
please help
thanks
