Will Life Be Hard if I Don’t Go to Grad School?
Question by Kalla: Will life be hard if I don’t go to grad school?
For a msw
Best answer:
Answer by Caligula
Maybe. Maybe not It may be hard if you do go to grad school, too. Or again, it may not. There are no guarantees. Nobody will be able to give you a clear “yes” or “no” without making a lot of assumptions, some of which will be unwarranted.
If there’s something in life that you want, and if getting an MSW will significantly increase your likelihood of getting it (by definition, anything that *requires* an MSW falls into this category), and if you are likely enough to get it if you do get an MSW that the gamble seems like a good one, then get an MSW.
I don’t just mean a social work job, either. “Job security” and related things are perfectly reasonable things to want as well.
Eviction in Sober Living Facility?
Question by Sandra D: Eviction in Sober living Facility?
I asked this before, but no one answered with any detail, and to be frank, I think some were guesses. I would like a legal explanation from someone as to why this is allowed or not allowed.
Basically, I work with someone who lives at a “sober-living facility.” It is very informal, and is sponsored or organized by some local organization, but it’s not like a halfway or rehab facility. This is a place for women to live and support each other, and encourage each other.
Halfway houses are different LEGALLY. I have found nothing to indicate sober living houses are (from a regular informal renting. I do know the woman signed a contract saying she would not use drugs or alcohol. She has not, and has not broken any rules. She is still trying to do everything right, but people are nitpicking her and only her for weird weird stuff.
When You’re an Undergrad in Psychology Could You Be Legally Called a Psychologist or Is the Term…?
Question by idunnowatodo: when you’re an undergrad in psychology could you be legally called a psychologist or is the term…?
restricted only to those who obtained a doctor’s degree?…And could i also use the word therapist to a person who’s an undergrad and had a master’s degree in psych and he’s licensed? If not, what kind of professional could he be if he couldn’t be referred to as a therapist or a psychologist?…

Yes, that is typically only restricted to those who have a PhD. A person with a Bachelor’s does not have nearly enough experience or knowledge to be considered any type of “psychologist” or “therapist.” You can’t be an undergrad and have a Master’s at the same time. A Master’s degree indicates that you’re a graduate. A person with a Master’s can be considered a therapist or a counselor in some cases with enough experience. But people with Master’s degrees can only practice psychology under supervision.
