Help! What Can I Do With a Masters in Psychology?!?

Question by Kiera Davies: Help! What can I do with a masters in Psychology?!?
I have a degree in psychology and have almost finished my masters psychology course. I am interested in the the health aspects such as eating disorders and counselling. The problem is my masters did not specialise in these but was more based towards clinical psychology. I have applied for a few assistant psychology jobs but have had no luck yet as they seem very competitive.

I am also living in a small town in the middle of nowhere and don’t drive and cant afford to learn. I would like to move away from home as soon as possible but I dont even know where to start when im looking for jobs.

I am willing to move away from psychology and maybe look for jobs such as social research or human resources, but I’m not sure how to go about this.

Hierophant Tarot Card Represents “Therapy” or “Counseling?”?

Question by Jess: Hierophant tarot card represents “Therapy” or “Counseling?”?
I’m doing a reading for someone and it showed up for the outcome of their situation in regards to a relationship. Does this mean get help or counseling? Hierophant sometimes means the court or legal system leading to marriage- what else could it suggest? It was sitting next to 8 of cups. WHat do you think? Also, is there another card that you can think of that suggests therapy more than this? Or is this card pretty symbolic of that kind of help?

It can also mean ritualized behavior, or actually ‘hidebound’ to the point where it no longer connects to real life.

Standard meanings also include conforming to the rules, fitting in, going with the system, following common held beliefs, honoring ritual and ceremony, and not going outside the rules.

What Is Going on With My Husband and Our Marriage?

Question by blue eyes: What is going on with my husband and our marriage?
My husband had an affair and claimed it was over. I broke into his email and found out that he was still having the affair for 4 months. I found pictures of them together, read emails about her love for him and found emails from him saying he didn’t find me attractive, and wanted to be with her. The emails hurt and I can not forgive him for what he said to her. He says that he didn’t mean what he said and he wants to work on our marriage.

Then he acts suspicious sometimes and doesn’t want to come over to the house. I am stressed out and told him that I want more money in the divorce (if there is one) and I want his stuff out. Then the next day I want him there again. But sometimes I break down and cry because of the mean things he said.

I Am 27, What Am I Supposed to Do if Social Security Runs Out?

Question by we must stop the killing: I am 27, what am I supposed to do if social security runs out?
I don’t see myself making a ton of money. So if social security runs out what am I supposed to do? Be homeless? Starve? Shoot myself? I can’t work till I’m 100, my body most likely won’t let me.

Keep paying, soon the rate will increase and you can feel better. Every working person will eventually have to work till death to support the few that choose not to work. Vote the bums out.

What Is the Difference in School Psychologist& School Counselor?

Question by luckyme: what is the difference in school psychologist& school counselor?
what are the duties of each and requirements

Best answer:

Answer by semiserene
A counselor helps kids choose classes, prepare themselves academically for college, gets all their paperwork in order, etc. He/she doesn’t really “counsel.” It’s much more about record-keeping and keeping kids on track academically.

A school psychologist actually does some counseling and a lot of testing to see whether kids qualify for special programs.

The education and training requirements for each will vary state to state. You can find more information by going online and looking it up for the state you’re interested in.
