A therapist can refer to anyone doing any sort of “therapy.” This can even be physical therapy, occupation therapy, whatever. In the mental health field, it usually refers to people such as licensed social workers, who have a master’s degree, or a marriage and family counselor, who also has a master’s degree. It can even refer to a psychologist or a psychiatrist if they are doing psychotherapy with a person.
A psychologist is an individual who has specialized training in treating emotional disorders. There are also psychologists who are academic professors who are not “clinical” or “counseling” psychologists and do not do “therapy.” A psychologist has to have a Ph.D or Psy.D, which is usually at least 5 years of training past a bachelor’s degree.
Can Anyone Help Me With How I Am Feeling These Days?
Question by Gooz: Can anyone help me with how I am feeling these days?
About six months ago I was just devastated as my one and only best friend left to overseas. At the time, I was actually fine.. or maybe I was pretending to be fine. But I knew that deep down in my mind somewhere, something was missing. I knew that this world wasn’t going to be the same anymore. Sure, I tried making new friends and I actually went out partying more than ever. I met new friends to hang out with and every weekend we went out. But whatever I do now, it wasn’t enough for me to get rid of that “empty” feeling. So I started drinking and smoking pot every night before I sleep because if I didn’t, I would end up being awake for the whole night. I thought this was going to make the situation better but it didn’t. Apparently, I think I am addicted to alcohol and pot.

The degree is Registered Dietician. How much you would make as one depends on what type of work you end up doing with it. If you privately counsel individuals and work with them to develop healthy eating plans/menus/food lifestyle – you can end up doing quite well. I work at a Mental Health Institution that focuses mainly on two areas – Drug/Alcohol Rehab and Eatind Disorders. We have several RD’s who work as “nutritionists” and make about $ 100 per 30 minute visit with their private clients.

How Do You Identify a Legitimate Life Coach as Opposed to an Unqualified Quack?
Question by George Lass: How do you identify a legitimate life coach as opposed to an unqualified quack?
I need to set up an appointment to talk to somebody about practical dating and social skills advice. I want somebody licensed and experienced, ideally who will take psychological health insurance, but I don’t know the first thing about finding a good one and not just somebody who will take my money. How do you do it?

Find someone who generally wants to help people not someone that just wants money. Just look at their actions and you will know.
