How Do I Cope With Death and Grief?
Question by EVIL_INNOCENCE: How do I cope with death and grief?
Our family just got news from the vet. Our oldest Dog Bailey, isnt doing so well. She might not make it untill tomorrow. Bailey is 13, 90% blind and going def, Shes just old. There is nothing we can to about it. These things happen. I seem calm while typing this, but in reality I am breaking down, crying nonstop. I cant control it.
This is the first animal death we have had in a while. The first one for me was my hamster. Bad, but not as bad as looking your childhood companion. We have 2 other dogs that will also be greiving.
Please help pull our family back together.

Think of the good times and only time heals. I don’t know any other way to put it. Better than watching your dog suffer, just believe it’s better than your dog suffering. Give it time.

Is My Siamese Cat Drinking Too Much Water?
Question by Nancy: Is my Siamese cat drinking too much water?
I have a beautiful flame-point Siamese who is 15 years old. I consider that young because my cats live to be 20 or older. He is healthy, plays, eats, but I’ve noticed that he is drinking an awful lot of water. The water bowl lives in a tray in the living room (don’t ask) and I’m usually on the couch so I can monitor how many times he goes to drink.
I can’t tell you how many times – I will start counting today – but does anyone know how much is too much? I’m afraid of diabetes or kidney failure….
Can someone help? Thank you in advance.
Nancy – I’m terribly sorry. As for the rest of you, again, how much is too much? I’m scared because last November I lost my Oriental shorthair (my favorite cat EVER) to bladder cancer and I don’t know if I’m being hypersensitive because of him (although he peed blood for months prior to diagnosis).

I think by the sound of it, you are still upset by the fact your grandmother died… Anyone would be.
