Where Can I Find Information on Treating Grief in Infants?
Question by : Where can I find information on treating grief in infants?
I’m looking for information on grief reactions in infants who have lost a parent and models of practice for treating grief. All my searches turn up the death of the infant, not the parent…if anyone’s good at searching Google/Google Scholar and can help, that would be great.

A Good Book About Coping With Grief?
Question by Bookworm: A good book about coping with grief?
I have a friend who is still grieving over the death of a loved one. It has been 2 years and she admits to suffering panic attacks and not being able to properly grieve because she doesn’t want to relive the experience.
She doesn’t want to speak to a counselor, although she goes to religious services and she speaks to friends. I’d like to get her a book about grief and loss not to be preachy or tell her to get help, but something to have on hand to look at during hard times. Any suggestions?

Do I Need to Put My Foot Down?
Question by Little Loulou: do i need to put my foot down?
my 11 year old daughter lost 7 family members and 11 pets in less than 6 months. she has a cat named chowder who she treats like a prince. she uses all her money on him and never wants to leave his site. he has a small dressed filled with his close. the dresser is small, it only has 3 draws but still for 1 cat that’s alot. she pays someone 25 dollars a week to watch him while she is at school and she texts her cat sitter after every period. my daughter will not feed chowder dry cat food only can food and won’t let him eat on the floor. he sits in a high chair by a kid table and she trained him to pee and poop in the toilet. once a week my daughter cooks him fish tuna and chicken.and the one thing i can not stand is the fact we can’t go any were pets are not allowed because chowder has to come with u.s and i can’t Touch my daughter because the cat is always in her lap and growls at me because he thinks im going to hurt her. i really don’t mind how she pampers the cat but if chowder dies she will have a fit and i don’t know if she can handel another death. and i can’t handle her getting depressed again. should i make her stop acting like a cat is a baby or should i let her have her fun with her “baby”
