Question by New guy: Why does getting back with my Ex feel like Rasing a loved one from the dead?
Just feels awkward that i cried and grieved over losing her over a year ago, now she wants to give it another shot but it feels weird. Its kinda like a family memer died then you cry and grieve for a while but then you get over them….and then a year later they are back alive.

Help Me Write a Theme Statement.?

Question by Zack R: Help me write a theme statement.?
I want to write a theme statement using trees and rocks as examples that describes how we should never give up, and if we stay with it results will come.
I came up with this:

Trees and rocks go through many storms every year, and they never back down. Rock’s surface eventually gets smoother, trees grow bigger and taller every year. Therefore no matter how hard or impossible it seems for us to do something. We should never back down. Stay with it until the end and results will come.

I think it is a good start. I gave you a site to read about theme sentences and provided you with a coupe of examples. Read through this and see if you like your statement or if you want to make some changes.

Need a Poem That Has the Theme About the Inevitability of Death or the Struggle to Survive?

Question by [email protected]: Need a poem that has the theme about the inevitability of death or the struggle to survive?
I’ve been searching forever and I can’t seem to find one, and I need to write an essay on it this weekend! I have to use it to compare it to the theme of the book Catch-22.
The theme in Catch-22 that I want the poem to parallel is either the inevitability of death or the struggle to stay alive. The storyline does not have to be the same.

Best answer:

Answer by blah
just say a poem is about that. it doesn’t have to really be written like that. you just gotta be able to describe it
