If I Told a Therapist “I Just Want You to Listen”, Would He/she Accept That?
Question by abc: If I told a therapist “I just want you to listen”, would he/she accept that?
I want to say “I just want you to listen and believe me.” That is all i ever wanted. Instead, they have their own timetable and agenda, and they never quite get it right. i just want to be understood.
If I approached future therapy this way, do you think the therapist would accept or reject this idea?
Oh, and if I also said “I’m not looking to ‘get better’ necessarily, because when there is that pressure, it tends to go downhill
