Will I Be Arrested When I Go to Court if I Have a Warrant From Another State?

Question by NEWPORTPLEASURELOVER: Will I be arrested when I go to court if I have a warrant from another state?
I have a warrant in PA for an unpaid fine for a driving without a license citation. Last time I checked(about a month ago when i got the paper stating I had a warrant and no acting would be taken for 5 days) the amount I owed was $ 374. If I pay that, does the warrant go away or do I have to be arrested for processing or something? And also I have a preliminary hearing 11/16 for minor shoplifting charges and some old drug charges that were on step docket (but im not that worried about that because I’ve been going to my weekly drug class for several months now, im over halfway through the program, and my “addiction counselor” says I’ve been doing well and that she will write a good letter for when I go to court) Plus I really dont shoplift anymore..i did it for several years without getting caught..lol after getting caught im never shoplifting again. Im pretty sure I can get the charges squashed with probation/community service. My court date is in my home state maryland. However im worrried that with like 6 days left I wont be able to pay the fines associated with my pennsylvania warrant and that that will come up when I go to my preliminary trial and ill be arrested then. Any suggestions/answers? Btw I’m 16 years old

Im just really stressing over this cuz other than the warrant I think ill be fine. I got my driving without a license citation over the summer b4 i entered drug class and my shoplifting arrest was like my first week in drug class. So im pretty sure after being in drug class for several months without incidence I can play there own game and say how much there little fake ass drug program helped me and how much i’ve improved.

tough call, but I don’t think they will act on that particular warrant as it isn’t worth the cost of arresting you, processing you, jailing you while you await extradition and then finally extraditing you to PA. If your warrant was for capital murder however, they would arrest you and extradite you.
