What Is the Name of This Board Game? It Has 6 Sides for Marbles and Spokes Toward the Center?

by Zoonie

Question by Empoli: What is the name of this board game? It has 6 sides for marbles and spokes toward the center?
The board has depressions for marbles. There are 6 sides with ten depressions on each side. From each corner and from the middle of each side there are an additional four depressions that lead toward the center, like spokes on a wheel. Each center “spoke” and an adjacent middle spoke are painted a different color, for marbles of the same color. There is a depression in the center that is painted silver. I am trying to learn the name so I can look up how to play it.
Several answers have said the name is “Chinese Checkers”. However, any picture I have seen of a board called Chinese Checkers has the entire center of the board filled with depressions for the marbles. The board I have has only the outer hexagon, a spoke from each ourter corner, a spoke from the center of each straight line, and a single depression in the center of the board. Is this some sort of variant of Chinese Checkers or did the people answering the question misunderstand my description?

Greden has spent his entire career as “depressionologist” trying to deal recurrent depression and how to develop better diagnostic tests, better treatments that get people better and keep them better. Of the 15-16% of the population who have depression, 30% are treatment resistant. Much more work needed in the early diagnosis and treatment. To try help accomplish that, Greden and a team of experts from the University of Michigan Depression Center wrote the book, Treatment Resistant Depression A Roadmap for Effective Care.
