Question by ??????? Me ???????: What does this proverb mean “You never know the worth of water until the well is dry”?
In Language Arts class we are reading a book called “Walk Two Moons” By Sharon Creech, and there are many proverbs in the book, and I understand most of them expect one “You never know the worth of water until the well is dry”. So can you guys please define this proverb, and also give an example so I can understand it better.

You never realize how big of a role water plays in our daily lives until it is all gone; all dried up. Not just in our daily lives but for every sea creature, our crops need water, etc. We take it for granted.
