Question by eternalbeginnings: What does it mean when a senate bill is amended?
I was reading an article about SB 9, a senate bill proposed by Senator Yee. In this article it said that on May 2001 the bill was amended “It now would permit up to hree hearings for a youth sentcned to life without parole, and requires a statement of remorse and rehabilitation.”
That doesn’t mean the bill was passed, does it?
