Treatment for Cutting?

Question by Issabella Bianchi: Treatment for cutting?
So, I’ve had issues with cutting since the end of 5th grade. I’m currently a junior in high-school. I’ve been doing it for like 5 years. It’s this very dark issue which my parents just found out about. I have to have a meeting with like a counselor to see if I need either treatment or psychotherapy. But isn’t “treatment” like rehab? What would treatment be like for a cutter? would I need to stay in a facility? Just anything you know. Please help me out.
