23 October 2013 – Treatment has saved the lives of more than 22 million people with tuberculosis (TB), according to a new report by the United Nations health agency that also reveals that the number of deaths from the disease fell to 1.3 million last year.

A drug and alcohol treatment centre proposed for a Hammond neighbourhood got the go-ahead from Maple Ridge council Tuesday, along with an appeal to the builder to ensure the new building fits the heritage character that is important to residents.
