Please Tell Me. What Does This Mean?

Question by meh: Please tell me. What does this mean?
“”If the eyes are the windows to the soul, and grief is the door – as long as it’s closed, it’s the barrier between knowing and not knowing. Walk away from it and it stays closed forever. But open it and walk through it, and pain becomes truth.”

And is it appropriate to use when someone dies, like to say in the funeral or something?
Thank you!!!

Best answer:

Answer by Ana
Not appropriate. It means that it is better to not know about something bad because knowing will make you suffer.

Just say: “My condolences”.

Help Me Write a Theme Statement.?

Question by Zack R: Help me write a theme statement.?
I want to write a theme statement using trees and rocks as examples that describes how we should never give up, and if we stay with it results will come.
I came up with this:

Trees and rocks go through many storms every year, and they never back down. Rock’s surface eventually gets smoother, trees grow bigger and taller every year. Therefore no matter how hard or impossible it seems for us to do something. We should never back down. Stay with it until the end and results will come.

I think it is a good start. I gave you a site to read about theme sentences and provided you with a coupe of examples. Read through this and see if you like your statement or if you want to make some changes.

Please Help, Don’t Know What’s Wrong With Me?

Question by : Please help, don’t know what’s wrong with me?
I’ve had this for around possibly over 2 years now, but it’s on and off.
I’m quite smart, high IQ.
I can get quite depressed think about the usual things, I could get angry etc.
I don’t really like humanity/people, so i’m extremely introverted.
That’s the straight things out the way, but I feel there is many complex aspects that even I can’t figure out; my way of thinking – introspectively and intense, i’m quite melancholic – see things mainly grey/b/w, when I try to sleep I see STRANGE images/faces etc, causing me to open my eyes.
I’m not angsty, more pessimistic, I feel ahead of my time, I question reality and what not.
Whenever I look at myself in the mirror, it doesn’t feel like me; like my brain’s embedded in me, i don’t recognize myself.
I PERMANENTLY feel like there’s some emptiness that needs to be sorted, I need to be diagnosed.
I used to medicate with alcohol, and cut twice/three times before.
