How Do You Define “Fair Treatment” of Blacks in Today’s Society?
Question by Hebrewtocracy: How do you define “fair treatment” of Blacks in today’s society?
If you define “treating Blacks fair” as making sure that their standard of living is the same as that of White people, you run into the insurmountable problem of finding a way to make that happen. Do you build new houses for them? It has been tried and they always make the new ones look just like the old rundown broken apart cesspools they left to move into your new housing. And they create this nearly magical transformation in an unbelievably small amount of time. Do you give them free money? Once again, it has been tried. Trillions of dollars later we find that all we have done is pay for the breeding of even more Blacks who reside under the poverty line. We have given them preferential treatment in getting into schools, getting hired and promoted, and nearly every other area of life where you and I would be expected to get in and fight for it, before we would be awarded the prize. Today, they are still living like Blacks live all over the world. I submit that the entire Gross National Product of this country would not be enough to force Blacks permanently into the same standard of living that Whites have.

My Therapist Says That I Have “Non-Biological Depression”. Can This Be Treated ??
Question by upnatom77: My therapist says that I have “Non-biological depression”. Can this be treated ??
I am 28 years old and have been seeing my current therapist for about a year now for depression, social anxiety, general anxiety, and very pronounced low self-esteem isssues. He is the 6th therapist I have seen in my life–I have literally suffered from depression/anxiety since I was 5 years old, and over my lifetime I have been on a total of 12 antidepressants/antianxiety meds, including Paxil, Buspar, Wellbutrin, Serzone, and so on. This list includes benzos like Klonopin, too. NONE of them have helped for longer than a week at most, some had no effect at all. In addition to therapists, I’ve seen scores of medical Dr’s to try med combonations, and to rule out other physical problems, but no luck.

Passive Aggressive Emotional Abuse?
Question by ctvas1388: Passive aggressive emotional abuse?
I basically just need to talk this out, but any comments would be appreciated. I’m 21, and have a history of my mom verbally/emotionally abusing me, especially during high school. I am moving away from home on Thursday (halfway across the country) so I know I just have to wait it out. But she did something this morning again.
She used to just tell me straight out that I looked bad, that my face was disgusting. When I was in college, instead of telling me, she would send me packages in the mail of facewash, no note attached. Just a package of Proactive. I know I have acne, and I wash my face, I try to take care of it. But its the fact that she doesn’t bring it up anymore, just puts it out for me to find that bothers me. I woke up this morning, she had already left for work, and I found a package on the table where I eat breakfast. It was another brand of facewash. This time with a note wondering if I would be interested in using it, that she forgot to mention it yesterday, so she just left it there for me to find.
