Signed into law the, “Defense of Marriage Act” (DOMA). It says that the federal government does not recognize same sex marriages and that states do not have to recognize other states definitions of marriage.

Clinton also implemented “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” but has since been overturned by the Obama adminstration.
