Counseling Assessment: DUI or Domestic Violence – How to Get the Counseling or Evaluation Required by the Court

In a year, millions of individuals are required by courts to get counseling or psychological assessments. Usually, these are required because of one being arrested for a DUI or family violence.

Are you looking for an expert to provide the required counseling or evaluation? It is crucial that when you need to obtain an assessment or counseling for either yourself or a family member, be sure to select the professional who is the most highly qualified.

Choosing a professional on impulse should be avoided at all costs, especially since you will want the doctors findings to be highly respected and influential with the court. That is why it is crucial that you carefully choose a doctor who is a clinical psychologist.

After all, your health and the legal consequences resulting from your arrest should not be placed in the hands of an ordinary psychiatrist or counselor. Remember, psychiatrists have almost no expertise in providing psychological evaluations or counseling services.

More Italian Questions…?

Question by er0920: more Italian questions…?
1. I want to tell an Italian relative that I graduated with degrees in “Education” and “Counseling,” and that my brother has a degree in “Journalism.”

First, what is the word for “degree?”
Second, I believe that I could translate “education” as “l’insegnamento” and “giornalism” as “il giornalismo.” But what about “counseling?” (as in: Mental health counseling…not a “counselor” like a lawyer). Is “consigliera” the correct word for this?

2. If I tell her that I am presently working as a math tutor, is it appropriate to say that I am “un’istitutrice di matematica?” If not, how should it be said.

3. I want to tell her that, despite my brother’s background in journalism, he has become interested in Nutrition and is looking into becoming a nutritionist and/or personal trainer. Does it make sense if I say the following: “Il mio fratello si é interessato al nutrizione e la buona salute. Allora, vuole l’impiego della questa sorta.” Please feel free to make any grammatical corrections to this sentence.

Vocational Counselor: Become a Vocational Counselor and Help Increase Employment!

Vocational counselors help others who are searching for a job. Their career advice is often given to recent graduates or job seekers who have never looked before. These professionals are skilled at helping their clients understand which jobs work best with certain degrees as well as with certain personality characteristics. Many vocational counselors work directly with schools or government agencies; however, some manage their own professional offices.

A vocational counselor is also responsible for providing guidance to injured workers and their employers. One evaluates an injured employee’s options as he or she tries to return to work, which may include job changes or occupational modifications. These counselors are part of the team of professionals who help others return to work after a work-related injury.

Job Opportunities for Those With a “School Counseling” Degree?

Question by er0920: Job opportunities for those with a “School Counseling” degree?
I recently obtained a Master’s Degree in School Counseling. However, after completing my internship, I realized that school counseling has more to do with scheduling/paperwork/bookkeeping than actual counseling…i.e. I am beginning to wish that I got my degree in Mental Health Counseling or in Social Work.

But, before I go back for any further degrees, does anyone know if a Master’s Degree in School Counseling grants career opportunities for environments other than a school (i.e. maybe counseling in a hospital; working for an agency; etc).

I am really looking for an environment where my primary responsibility will be COUNSELING (individual or group), as opposed to the mess of paperwork which, to the dismay of many school counselors, seems to become their primary responsibility.

What Careers Can I Have With MS in Mental Health Counseling in the Military?

Question by this person: What careers can I have with MS in Mental Health Counseling in the military?
I will be getting my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and I am thinking about joining the military, doesn’t really matter which branch.
This question has been asked on here, but people have been vague with their answers like, “The military needs a lot of people with that degree,” well, okay, but what can I do with it?
I need specific job titles. I want to counsel people. I saw that I can be a Mental Health Specialist, but the job description isn’t exactly what I’m looking for. I want a job that is close to the equivalent of a Mental Health Counselor or a Therapist.
