Mr. / Ms. CV 2012 Superheroes – I created this for the 2012 Mr CV pageant show to introduce each of this years fantabulous contestants. I had a 2 week deadline so it was pretty crazy and i even stayed up until 5am on a schoolday just to make sure the final product would save correctly and play with no problems. It gave me something todo and i actually enjoyed doing it a lot. Old Mill provides programs and services to address educational, social, and family needs in a diverse population of children. Some of the issues that are addressed at Old Mill are domestic violence, poverty, Down syndrome, Autism, depression, and behavior issues. Jackson Street Youth Shelter- A non-profit shelter that services boys and girls ages 10-17 that are going through a crisis in their lives. These kids come from Linn and Benton County. Question by Metoo: What Can I Do After One Serious Grief After Another?
My life has been more than difficult lately. I lost my job (after trauma/abuse starting my career as a teacher), my fiancee who has been with me since we were practically kids just let me; and I was diaganosed with an ongoing illness (that is not terminal and can be controlled with medication, but it is still upsetting because it makes it difficult for me to be able to have children). I feel like all of my dreams are shattered (my dream of marrying my partner, having kids, teaching). I’m living at home, don’t have a car, and feel useless.

I’ll be going away in a few days to stay with my dad in another city, but after that I don’t know what to do. I’ve been looking for jobs for months and have been working part time as a substitute teacher, which I am very miserable doing and just can’t face anymore.

When a loved one dies, we all react differently. For some people, accepting the inevitable loss of a 87-year-old much-loved grandfather following a lengthy illness is not that difficult. For others, it is an unbearable task. Similarly, some people seem to “get over” the loss of a small child in a relatively short period of time, while others never seem to recover.

For the many people who find it hard to cope with a death, grief counseling often can help them make the transition. Its goal is to help people grieve within a normal, healthy period of time and eventually resume their daily lives. Grief counseling can be a long-term process, a short-term affair or even a one-off, and can occur on a one-to-one basis or in groups.

Vocational counselors help others who are searching for a job. Their career advice is often given to recent graduates or job seekers who have never looked before. These professionals are skilled at helping their clients understand which jobs work best with certain degrees as well as with certain personality characteristics. Many vocational counselors work directly with schools or government agencies; however, some manage their own professional offices.

A vocational counselor is also responsible for providing guidance to injured workers and their employers. One evaluates an injured employee’s options as he or she tries to return to work, which may include job changes or occupational modifications. These counselors are part of the team of professionals who help others return to work after a work-related injury.
