What Kind of Work Is Involved in These Areas of Hospital Volunteering?

Question by Jenniferr.: What kind of work is involved in these areas of hospital volunteering?
I’m applying to volunteer at a local hospital this summer. On the application, there is one section that asks what kind of work I would prefer. What kind of work is involved in “Emergency Room” and “Outpatient Services”? I know that, being only a volunteer, it wouldn’t be anything critically important to patient health. so what kinds of tasks would you be doing in those areas?

Best answer:

Answer by Jeanine B
You would deliver important papers to certain doctors, bring
xrays from the imaging room to the O.R., safely bring people from their rooms to either get pre-lab stuff done.. You will also help people to the O.R. for one day surgery..

How Do I Phrase This Sympathy Note…?

Question by ?Remy?: How do I phrase this sympathy note…?
I am a high school student and one of my teachers just sent out an e-mail to my class letting us know that he will not be in school for awhile due to the death of his father. It feels inappropriate not to send condolences, but I’m worried that the very typical “My deepest sympathy for your loss” type of note is too formal and sort of awkward in this situation. So that just leaves me with the question of how do I go about writing this note? (and by note I do mean e-mail)

Best answer:

Answer by Meh
you really shouldnt send via email.. find out his address and mail a card

there is nothing wrong with saying my deepest sympathy for your loss.
