Dealing With My Mother’s Death?
Question by grreeneyedgurrl: Dealing with my mother’s death?
My mom passed away in her sleep Feb 22nd.
She was only 44.
Her husband refused to do an autopsy and had her cremated two days after she passed. I did not even get a chance to say goodbye to her because she moved to Arkansas last year and I live in IL.
They chose to not have a funeral.
I have no idea how to get over this. I think I am okay and then I randomly break down and start crying. I feel like I will never have closure on this and will never truely get over it. I think about her of every minute of every day.
I just want to know how to “be okay.”
How Can I Start or Lead a Group to Councel Teenagers Who Have Lost Their Parents?
Question by infinite201: How can I start or lead a group to councel teenagers who have lost their parents?
when I was in high school my mother passed away. It took me years to realize I needed to talk to someone about it and I always felt like I couldn’t because I thought I was the only one going through it. I want to be able to connect with teenagers going through something similar to what I did so that they can interact with other people their age with a similar situation. I think its really important especially as a teenager to know there are other people out there going through the same thing so that they can begin to cope with it. I want to be able to share my story with them and provide a temporary support group to help them begin their healing process but I dont know where to go to get involved in something like that

Son Cannot Get Out of Bed and Go to School?
Question by app1eman: Son cannot get out of bed and go to school?
What can I do to help my son? I think I am doing my best. The background is this. He has lost a bit of respect for me as I have just come out of a 2 year clinical depression. He is 15 years old, very brigght and atends the local high school.
His has personal problems. Just 4 weeks ago he was arrested in possession of marajuana. He got off with a caution. My wife and I decided we have to punish him ourselves. As well as try to understand his social probs at school.
He seems to have lost all his friends at school when before he prided himself with all his friendships at a tough school.
I found a dear friend who agreed to offer him “community service” at his local charity shop. This is someone Chris had a great deal of respect for but he still flared up at me and my wife when we explained that he had to talk to Dave about servining in the shop and as a form of “punishment”, though we did not want to call it that. He won’t commit and now wont go to school. Where now???!! Please come bac
Need to close this one. Yes, part of it is my problem and my wife’s – we have been unable to find a common approach till now – I hope. Anyway, Chris is happier now.I think he accepts I care about him but I need to relax and give him a chance to improve his behaviour.
However he will still be in trouble if he does not get out of bed – and he will still be “doing time” with DAve at the charity shop.
