Wasn’t Able to Get Into a Good University and Now I Feel Depressed, Can Anyone Help Me?
Question by The Individual: Wasn’t able to get into a good university and now I feel depressed, can anyone help me?
I recently finished high school and graduated with a 3.4 GPA which I believe did not reflect my high school performance well. I graduated 20th in a class of 81 students.
I had a 2.8 GPA during my first two years of high school but after that I maintained a 4.0 my junior and senior year. My GPA was low due to many bad events happening in my life including extreme bullying due to my race/ethnicity, extreme depression due to the loss of some loved ones and I really did not want to be in the place I am in right now. My family came to the US when I was 11 and I didn’t get to adjust well, we lived up North but then we moved down south where I went to high school, I faced a lot of racism down here and I always wanted to get out of this new town but now I have to go to a local university, got into the honors program but I don’t want to stay in this town, I just don’t.
