I’m 58 years old! I am a Veteran of the U.S. Navy who worked in Top Secret communications! I am a Recovering drug Addict with over 13 years of clean time, after having used drugs for nearly 30 years! I have had over a dozen articles pertaining to Addiction and Recovery from this disease, published on the Internet. I have had one article published regarding my Political views. I thought to myself, recently, why should anyone care what I think about politics? Well, just what does qualify someone to make public commentary? Surely, some of the commentators regularly on television don’t seem to know anything special! So, I’ll take a shot at making my case…

Different methods of treatments are applied by the rehab clinics to help the patients get out of substance dependency. After researching for many years they come up with some therapeutic techniques and methods to enhance the recovery process. Different rehab centers may have different processes. The strategy may also depend on the specific cases – the symptoms may compel the drug and alcohol rehab center to come up with a unique treatment process.

Substance abuse problems rarely come alone – mental illness is a common part of the disorder. Since, all mental problems are unique; it is quite predictable that the rehabilitation center will come up with a new strategy to treat the patient. Integrated treatment involves both physical and psychological care so that the victims can get out of the trouble completely.

Everybody on the planet is unique in their own little aspects, they have their imperfections that make them who they are and distinct from everybody else. However, this distinct character is torn apart and brings everybody to a common level when encountered with debilitating conditions like drug addiction. Drug addiction is a situation which is common throughout the world. Every country and city tries to counter this problem in their own way and according to their customs. Whatever the customs and methods different societies employ to overcome drug addiction, the basic theme remains the same everywhere and that is to help the addicted people in their quest to regain control over their lives and become responsible citizens once again.

Drugs are fast spreading its reach and now drug abuse has become common among teens too. More and more teens are getting involved in drug abuse at a very tender age. Teens get easily influenced by their friends who are drug addicts and start using drugs without even considering its fatal consequences. Family members are usually unaware of the habits of their kids. They are vulnerable to the negative influences and very easily fall prey of the addiction of drugs by following the so called trend. In the race of looking cool among the peers, they go to any extent that includes trying drugs too. With the easy availability of drugs, it becomes difficult to prevent young minds to prevent teenage addiction.
