Bradford Health Services – Successful Crisis Intervention Techniques

Bradford Health Services – Successful Crisis Intervention Techniques – Recovery Moments While blame and anger do not belong in the same room as a crisis intervention, explaining how someone’s addiction is hurting not just him or her, but also others, can be an important component. The goal of addiction crisis intervention is for the addict to sincerely agree, and genuinely commit, to treatment. Many addicts either don’t see how their behavior is affecting themselves or they don’t care because they have a drastically reduced sense of self-worth. Seeing how much they mean to other people, and how much they’re valued by those in their daily lives, can be incredibly powerful. While addicts can get tunnel vision and operate in selfish ways, as a rule, they don’t set out with the intention of hurting those around them. Witnessing genuine worry, sadness, and hurt on the faces of those they care about can be a powerful motivator. A crisis intervention revolves around the concepts of love, concern, and honesty. It offers support that someone doesn’t want, convinces someone to admit a truth they don’t want to see, and encourages someone to take a step forward while all he or she wants in this world is to stand still…even if that means being left behind. Thank you for watching this short video and taking the first step to build a solid foundation to recovery. A foundation built on knowledge, love and compassion. We want you, your family and friends to live a life free from addiction. A life full of Hope. Help is out there. Don’t miss the opportunity

Can Someone Please Edit My Essay?

Question by Pretty thang: Can someone please edit my essay?
I am applying to enroll in the Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy program at Eisner Institute for Professional Studies. I graduated from California State University Dominguez Hills with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. As an undergraduate student, I took psychology courses in Abnormal Psychology, Behavior Modification, and the Family. I always was interested in the complexities in psychology and the human mind. I wanted to continue to pursue a career in which I could work with people in helping them resolve his or her issues. I am aim to further my education through graduate study of psychology which will prepare me further to help my future clients to the fullest.
My professional background is in working in the mental health field for five years with clients in a variety of settings. I have worked in a residential treatment facility with adolescents that have behavioral and emotional problems, abused and neglected children that are victims of domestic violence, and outpatient setting with families in crises. My clinical experience has been both in the capacity as a counselor and case manager. I am currently working with adolescents with behavioral and emotional problems in a residential treatment facility. My role as a counselor is to provide supervision, counseling, and support to adolescents. I help the adolescents in making positive choices regarding daily living situations, personal hygiene , and conflict resolution.
I became interested in working in therapy because I experienced a family member that needed therapy for depression. My brother had been struggling with depression for a long time. My brother made the choice to seek professional help for his depression. Depression was genetic in our family, so our family as well got therapy. Through years of counseling and therapy, my brother and family benefited from therapy because we were able to heal at the same time. I understand the issues that can result firsthand from depression. I know that through therapy, people can make life long changes by looking at their lives and setting goals. I believe that each client has the capacity to make positive decision making and choices toward a more fulfilling life. I would like to be there for my future clients to help lead(guide) them to a road of personal growth and recovery or healing, self-improvement. I am fully committed and determined to advocate for clients facing issues such as family conflict, depression, and substance abuse. I believe that every client, given the proper guidance, can find their path to personal success. I am eager and dedicated to learn the techniques and approaches that are used to help families, children, and individuals resolve their issues. For this reason, I would be a good candidate for the Marriage and Family Therapy program. I realize that graduate school can be quite challenging, but I am determined to be a good student to learn about psychology that will prepare me for a career in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Highrock Christmas Concert 2011 Promo

Highrock Christmas Concert 2011 Promo – Our dream has been to be the kind of church that makes a difference in our community. And for the past four years, we have done just that through our annual Christmas Benefit Concert! In previous years, we have raised thousands of dollars for the Arlington Food Pantry and last year, raised nearly 000 for the Arlington Safety Net, serving our neighbors in need. We’ve received participation from dozens of local businesses who partnered with us to make each year possible. And since our first performance in 2006, hundreds of people have made coming to our concert a tradition! This year marks the fifth year of our concert and we can’t be more overjoyed. From the beginning, we’ve envisioned this concert to be more than just entertainment, and our guests who come, more than members of an audience. Through an elegantly crafted program of music, visuals, readings and poetry, we hope to share the story of Christmas in a fresh and inspiring way. We also hope our guests will truly feel like they are being welcomed into our home as we support a great cause together. All proceeds from this year’s concert will benefit the Arlington Youth Counseling Center. In cooperation with the Arlington Department of Health and Human Services, our goal is to fully fund a case manager program that will expand and increase services around youth and family mental health, domestic violence prevention, and near-homelessness intervention.
