I don’t have a degree in Counseling though I am a Christian and I have gone thru just about anything you can think about so If you want to write me feel free to.. It is going to be hard to find a licensed counselor to “counsel” you online because of the legal and ethical reasons..counselors like to build a face to face relationship with you.. I will try to help all I can but I can just tell you what I have done in my life

Look for a free offline support group. There are many organizations that offer free relationship support groups. The benefits of these groups are that they encourage you and your partner to meet other couples in crisis and can help the two of you fix relationship issues. To find an offline support group in your local area, check local bulletin boards, your yellow pages or simply ask friends and family members for referrals.

Go online to search for free couples counseling. Simply go to one of the major search engines and conduct an internet search for “free couples counseling.” This should give you a plethora of great leads, including online forms and even individuals offering couples counseling. In most instances, you may be able to post questions with others (couples and professionals) that may be able to offer free advice. However, be very leery of fraudulent websites that charge excessive fees for participation. Saving a marriage or a relationship is not an art, but requires specific skills and techniques.

Please Help!! My Sisters Boyfriend..?
Question by walksideways: Please help!! My sisters boyfriend..?
My sister is dating this guy who:
-Went to jail for 6 mos for theft (said he didnt do it)-was let out 1 yr ago (supposedly he stole from this guy he thought owed him money)
-Has a DUI right now
-Failing all his classes
-Very slow from drug abuse (says he doesnt anymore)
-Has to pay a lot of money every month for beating up this girl and her car with his ex-wife (says he didnt do it)
-discharged from the army (for letting someone live with him-he says)
-etc etc
My family doesnt want him dating her. I dont think hes that awful of a guy but that he makes bad decisions, often because he isnt smart enough to think them out.
She is smart and in college (3/4 done), shes 21, hes 25, but she has made many bad choices on ex boyfriends (we have restraining orders against one).
How Do Therapists Bill Insurance Companies for Couples Counseling?
Question by Armored Polar Bear: How do therapists bill insurance companies for couples counseling?
My boyfriend and I have been together for 8 years. We are interested in going to couples counseling in order to work on any issues we have before moving forward. We both have health insurance but with two separate insurance companies. Do therapists typically bill both insurances (meaning we need to find someone that accepts both)? Is the therapy billed differently because its more than one person being serviced, meaning that couples therapy has to be specifically covered by our insurance companies? Any information would be great, thanks!
