To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit organization based whose purpose is to spread awareness and support for people involved in self-injury, addictions, and depression.

It started in response to a story told by the founder about a young woman named Renee who dealt with self-injury. Jamie Tworkowski, the founder was inspired by how a group of people brought her onto the road of recovery. Since then, TWLOHA has sought to raise awareness self-harm through donations, dissemination of inspiring stories, and counseling. Kind of like “Intervention” in my opinion.

I support the cause by purchasing their merchandise… they have some really nice clothes!

Look under “clinics” in your yellow pages. Also look there under “social services”. Lastly call a regulr listing for Counselors and ask them if they can suggest a “sliding scale” counselor in your area. Good luck.
