Normal Reaction to Death of a Dog?

Question by James H: Normal reaction to death of a dog?
Well, my dog died yesterday. We buried him in a box in backyard. I use to look for my other dog whenever I seen one of them. Now when I see my dog I think of the same thing, but I already know where he is and instead I picture my recently deceased dog decomposing. It’s a haunting thought… it’s the first time I had a realistic perspective of death among pets or family.

Just curious how others reacted to loss pet.

I cried like a little girl. I had this dog for over fifteen years. I just think of him as a good loyal friend who was the best dog I ever had. The thought of him makes me smile.Do not focus in the science of the deal. Just focus on what a good dog he was.I think you need to look for a light in the window and not shudder it up in darkness.
