My Coach Found Out I Have an Eating Disorder?!?!?

Question by : My coach found out I have an eating disorder?!?!?
I’m 16. Today at volleyball practice I felt really lightheaded because I haven’t eaten since Friday night. I’ve been a purging anorexic for about a year and a half. Anyways I ended up fainting in the middle of practice. I guess I was out for like five minutes I think? Anyways when I woke up I was siting on the sideline bench, and my coach was like freaking out. It took me like all of practice to convince her I was ok, but she still wouldn’t let me do anything during practice, she just made me sit on the sideline. I usually carpool with my friend to practice (in her car, but I usually drive), but my coach told her to just drive home by herself because she wanted to drive me home. In the car as my coach wasdriving me home she was asking me all these questions, and she told me she was very worried about me because I’ve lost a lot of weight and I’m getting too skinny and I’ve been zoning out at practice a lot recently. She wouldn’t stop asking me questions and questioning me and so finally when she asked me if I ha been starving myself on purpose I said yes. I shouldn’t have, but I did. And so it was very quiet the rest of the way home, except she went to mcdonalds and got medium fries and made me eat the whole thing. When she pulled up to my house she said “well were going to talk more about this at practice tomorrow.”

I am so shocked and confused by what happened tonight. I didn’t tell my parents I fainted, but she’s probably going to call them or something tomorrow. What do I do? What is she going to do tomorrow? I already promised myself that if she does anything to try and get me help, I’ll do it. Because I’m so sick of having this eating disorder but I need a lot of help to give it up. And I’m kind of terrified to get help; it’s like an addiction. So anyways thank you for answering my question <3 Best answer:

Your coach will talk to you and try to get you help, I’m guessing. That’s what I would do.
