Why Did Reid Put Death Panels BACK Into the Health Care Bill,After Taking Them Out Due to the Public’s Concern?
Question by Lady Laissez Faire: Why did Reid put Death Panels BACK into the Health Care Bill, after taking them out due to the public’s concern?
Finally, the dreaded “death panels” are back. Recall that on Christmas Eve 2009, Nevada Democratic Sen. Harry Reid’s U.S. Senate rammed through the national health care system takeover. They ignored public opposition and mocked the idea that federal bureaucrats would institute end-of-life counseling. But, in deference to the public’s growing alarm, they took out Section 1233.
It was a bait-and-switch. A year later, on Christmas Day 2010, the New York Times broke the story that Donald Berwick, Mr. Obama’s unvetted czar who heads the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, issued a rule to pay doctors for end-of-life counseling. That was the essence of Section 1233. The Times acknowledged that the counseling “may include advance directives to forgo aggressive life-sustaining treatment.” Exactly.

Which Type of “counseling” Does Not Require a Degree?
Question by Jaffa: Which type of “counseling” does not require a degree?
Counselor (for adults)
Therapist
Psychologist
Psychiatrist
etc.
I read a long time ago that one of those (or one in the same field but not listed) does not require a degree for someone to do professionally. Essentially it is a professional therapist who talks with people about their problems, and is not required to have a degree in order to do it. However, I forgot the formal title of it.

They all require degrees. I don’t know anyone who would go to a type of counselor who didn’t have proper certification.

OK, so I was obsessed with the same question about two months ago, and I was searching every website for an answer and tbh the only answer is:
GOOD CARE
I know you’ll think that answer is rubbish, but honestly its true. I had a haircut on Dec 14, lairs, to get rid of the splits ends I’d had for a year, and literally within 2 weeks it was back to the same length. And I LOVED my haircut, I was so lucky, I was taking a giant risk but I totally looked like a supermodel.

Whats the Difference Between a Therapist and a Psychiatrist?
Question by partypooper: whats the difference between a therapist and a psychiatrist?
Best answer:
Answer by Kacey
A psychiatrist has a medical degree (M.D.) and can prescribe medications. A therapist is not a medical doctor but usually has a degree in social work or psychology or pastoral counseling. A psychologist may have a master’s degree (M.A.) or may have the higher Ph.D., which entitles him or her to use the title “Doctor” with their name. Most states require psychotherapists to be licensed before they are allowed to practice. Otherwise anyone could “hang out a shingle” and claim to be a therapist without having any training in counseling or other necessary knowledge.
Psychiatrists usually treat serious mental illnesses, often with medications, although sometimes they do talk therapy and counseling with people who have more ordinary conditions such as depression or anxiety. Psychotherapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists may practice particular approaches, such as cognitive therapy (which is often of short duration compared with talk therapy and may be called “brief psychotherapy”), NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), neuro-feedback therapy, hypnotherapy, family therapy, etc., depending on what is suitable for the individual client.
