Question by Regular girl: Is this GOOD experience if I want to get a job right after college?
-CASA advocate for 1yr (It’s a court appointed special advocate) i had training, i’m now under the supervision of a case manager, i get to meet with cps, the parents, the child, and make a report and give it to the judge.
-Volunteer Research Assistant, I was trained to interview sex offenders, i interviewed 5 of them, I also helped to put in data, and finish projects about the study.
-Volunteer as a peer ‘counselor” for adolescents in juvenile parole, 3 months of that and a 30+ hour training.
-Mujeres Unidas volunteer, also a 30+ training, I have to be on call every other weekend, and if called i have to go to the hospital or place where the woman is and interview her, make a report, explain t her about us, etc.
Is this good experience if I want to apply for a job right after my B.A. in Psychology… (while i finish my master’s)?
