Is There Such Thing as FREE Grief Counseling?
Question by imn0tth3same: Is there such thing as FREE Grief counseling?
My daughter passed away 2 weeks ago and I need counseling. At first I felt weird that I needed to talk to someone I didn’t know very well, about something so personal and deep. But now I’m looking for someone ANYONE who can help m heal the right way. Not with anger and should of, could of, would of ‘s.

Yes. Depending on your situation, if hospice was involved they give free counseling, do you go to church, if not find one, a good minister can do wonders, talk to your doctor, I am sure he can give you the name of some support groups that are free; they will have people in them that have gone through the very same thing you have. Look up in the Yellow Pages for Support groups for Grieving. Most of all turn to God, talk with Him as if He were sitting in your living room, He cares & loves you, and is mourning your loss as much as you are. He can help, He will also put people in your path to give you help. I have learned one thing in life it is you cannot go over, under, or around grief; you have to go through it and figure a way to make it out whole. I felt odd at first too talking to a counselor about my losses, but, you know what we all have losses and it will help talking to someone. We need each other, sometimes it takes a stranger to get us to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I will pray for your recovery.
