This morning I learned that my father is in the hospital with alcohol withdrawal. He’s tried to quit many times over the last thirty years. What are his chances of getting off the sauce? Will he get better in ICU?

He will “detox” while he’s in the hospital, but he’ll need serious help to quit drinking. I wish him well.
