Question by Matt: How to make friends?
I’m looking for genuine strategies for finding GOOD friends.

I’m 26, and totally inept at making friends. To most people I seem pretty normal – at work people assume I have friends outside of work, and at home my family thinks I have friends at work or elsewhere. Basically, I have neither. I’ve never had a girlfriend. I just don’t try or care. I’m not deformed or especially dorky. People say, “be yourself”. Well…the genuine me is boring and disinterested in most everything. People say get a hobby or join a club. I’d rather scrub the toilet. People say “try counseling”. Done it – medication too… none helped. Despite my general disinterest in people, I still feel like there’s a void in my life.

i dont know exaclty what to say, just that i feel ya! i just asked like the same question. i think some people have the incapability of making friends. and that us.
