How to Deal with Grief and Loss as a Type 3 – We’re continuing our Energy Profiling video series looking how each of the 4 Types process grief. Today we point to Type 3. In my Energy Profiling system, Type 3’s are the fire element, through which they express an active, reactive quality of energy. Out the 5 Stages of Grief, the one that Type 3’s have a tendency to get stuck in is anger. After a loss, a Type 3 may feel powerless to do anything about it, which creates frustration and anger. And due to their determined natures, Type 3’s will tend to push through the grief and the experience. But pushing through too quickly has a major downside. Give yourself permission to feel the anger The more you try to ignore anger or stuff it, the more you’ll fire it up beneath the surface. And eventually it’ll come out in unhealthy ways. So when you notice frustration or anger, write it out, feel it out, shout it out—do whatever you need to do to keep the emotions moving. Remove any judgment from yourself for feeling angry.
