How Is Commiting Suicide Selfish?

Question by nvvcbbdffg: How is commiting suicide selfish?
Isn’t it more selfish for the people who don’t want you to commit suicide to have you suffer through life, just so they don’t have to experience the grief of your death?

Isn’t it kind of like the old saying “If you truly love something, you have to let it go”?
A scale can’t really measure though since everyone is different. Some person might be extremely important and cause thousands grief, while one guy could drop dead and nobody would care.

it works both ways

it would be considered more selfish on the part of the person committing suicide because there causing other people grief by taking there own life.

its like a scale Suicide -__——————-

the left – representing the suicide the right —‘s representing everyone else who feels a loss

it would require someone to be really rational to think about it that way.

its like taking your life would cause more trouble then not taking it

it may seem selfish to the person who wants to commit suicide but in the end your only hurting everyone else by committing suicide and not helping yourself
