What makes panic attacks continue is that people naturally become afraid of them and try to protect themselves and avoid more attacks. The more you avoid/protect, the more trouble you’re likely to have. So you need to find ways to work with, rather than against, the symptoms, and gradually ease yourself out of the problem.
