How Do You Move on From a Friendship Split?

How do you move on from a friendship split?
My ex-best friend and I haven’t spoke or seen each other since August 2012. Sometimes I miss her, but most of the time I know it’s probably better off this way. I lost a lot of mutual friends in the process as well, because people seem to prefer her over me I guess. Even “friends” who I introduced to her, no longer speak to me anymore. It’s okay, I’d rather not deal with phonies anyway… but I can’t lie — this all takes a jab to my self esteem a bit.
How do I get over feeling like a loser now? I feel like I must’ve only been “cool” because I was friends with her… I’ve never been “popular”… more like a shy wallflower type of person. I kind of went through something like an identity crisis the past few years because so much has changed… I honestly believed her and I would be friends forever (as cheesy as that sounds).
What are some ways I can build myself/self esteem back up?

I am sure it has more to do with grieving than a self esteem issue. Learn the difference.
