Question by True Irish girl: how did you cope with the loss of your pet?
a day ago we put down my 17 year old cat Claws, but i feel horrible now, i can’t imagine life without him. He was truly one of a kind cat everybody loved Claws even a cat hater would love him there was just something about him that everyone loved. Now that he is gone i can’t see me moving on from this. I also feel like there was something we could do to save him from being put down, but he was just so sick his kidneys were failing, and he was so thin the vet said it was the best thing to do, but i don’t know what to feel i had claws all my life.
How did you cope with the loss of a pet?

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. The same happened to my cat 2 years ago. Although, it is heartbreaking to make such a decision, you did the right thing by letting Claws die with dignity and removing this horrible pain from her. She looks to you as her loving owner to help her through this period and you did what she was relying on you to do.
You will never forget her, but the hurt will not be as bad in time. You are one of the fortunate people to have had a loving pet in your life. Not everyone is as fortunate as us. God Bless.
