How Is Commiting Suicide Selfish?

Question by nvvcbbdffg: How is commiting suicide selfish?
Isn’t it more selfish for the people who don’t want you to commit suicide to have you suffer through life, just so they don’t have to experience the grief of your death?

Isn’t it kind of like the old saying “If you truly love something, you have to let it go”?

Do You Think People Are Confusing a Depressed Mood With Depression?

Question by Life is Okay: Do you think people are confusing a depressed mood with depression?
I noticed that some people say they have depression when in fact, all they have is a depressed mood, which is normal in life. Life is full of ups and downs, and part of experiencing a down moment is that we feel depressed, but we can still function okay and our sadness is mild. I believe, people have to know the difference, so that people who going through a normal, healthy depressed mood, do not end up unnecessarily medicated. Of course, there are people who really do experience major depression and for them psychological treatment is necessary.
