Normal Reaction to Death of a Dog?
Question by James H: Normal reaction to death of a dog?
Well, my dog died yesterday. We buried him in a box in backyard. I use to look for my other dog whenever I seen one of them. Now when I see my dog I think of the same thing, but I already know where he is and instead I picture my recently deceased dog decomposing. It’s a haunting thought… it’s the first time I had a realistic perspective of death among pets or family.
Just curious how others reacted to loss pet.

I cried like a little girl. I had this dog for over fifteen years. I just think of him as a good loyal friend who was the best dog I ever had. The thought of him makes me smile.Do not focus in the science of the deal. Just focus on what a good dog he was.I think you need to look for a light in the window and not shudder it up in darkness.

Can Someone Describe the Denial Stages in the Grieving Process?
Question by darkndorky911: can someone describe the denial stages in the grieving process?
Best answer:
Answer by Tyler P
Five Stages Of Grief
1. Denial and Isolation.
At first, we tend to deny the loss has taken place, and may withdraw from our usual social contacts. This stage may last a few moments, or longer.
2. Anger.
The grieving person may then be furious at the person who inflicted the hurt (even if she’s dead), or at the world, for letting it happen. He may be angry with himself for letting the event take place, even if, realistically, nothing could have stopped it.
3. Bargaining.
Now the grieving person may make bargains with God, asking, “If I do this, will you take away the loss?”
4. Depression.
The person feels numb, although anger and sadness may remain underneath.
5. Acceptance.
This is when the anger, sadness and mourning have tapered off. The person simply accepts the reality of the loss.

Support Groups for Teens With CHD?
Question by Oh,HeyYou.: Support groups for teens with CHD?
Hello, I’m 16 and was born with a Congenital Heart Defect. I would love to talk to other teens with a CHD and read their stories. Is there a support group for teens born with a Heart Defect?! Any that you know of would really be appreciated! I’ve found support groups, however they are either for ADULTS with a CHD, OR BABIES with a CHD. NO teens! So please help! 🙂
THANK YOU 🙂

Dear Carissa,
Here are some support networks, which cater to families, but hopefully they are not still “in the dark” in terms of empowering & helping teens to help one another. I realize a couple may be among those you’ve already contacted and been frustrated by, but if not, please email them if you cannot any find reference to their doing it directly.
